Oh, poor Jennifer Aniston. It looks like her hopes of getting into Gerard Butler’s pants have been temporarily dashed. Butler traveled all the way to India for the mother of all booty calls… with Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra. There were rumors about Gerard and Priyanka a few months ago but since then the sort-of relationship seems to have been on the downlow. Gerard is so enamored of Priyanka, he not only traveled halfway around the world, he’s been seen out in public with her, and even stopped by the set of her latest Bollywood film. Gerard also gave a statement, saying how much he loved India. Swoon.
There have been rumors swirling about who the new man in Priyanka Chopra’s life is and one of the names that keeps coming up is Scottish hunkstar Gerard Butler. The two beautiful people met at the opening of the Atlantis hotel in Dubai and reportedly have stayed in touch since. In fact, the two have gotten to be such “good friends” that Gerard recently spent the day on the set of Priyanka’s new film What’s Your Rashee?.
Speaking to [Times of India], Butler said about visiting India, “Every time I come to India, I feel that I haven’t spent enough time here. I love this country. It attracts you towards itself and you can never say no. Last year, I had come to India, and thankfully, no one got to know about it. I’d like to keep it that way this time too. I am planning to stay here till Priyanka’s done with her shoot. Then I have a few places in mind, like Rishikesh, Manali and some parts of Rajasthan, that I’d like to visit.”
He also revealed that he actually auditioned for a part in Lagaan, “I had auditioned for Lagaan, but I didn’t get the role.” Adding jokingly, “I guess they wanted to say that I was too good looking for the role. That I guess can be the only reason.”
Also visiting the set in Jaipur with Butler was Richard LaGravenese director of PS, I Love You. Both men were introduced to Ashutosh Gorwariker and got the chance to talk about Bollywood films. LaGravenese said, “I am enjoying this whole Indian movie shooting. It is an honour, and the director seems like a nice man.”
According to a source after the shoot was complete the two along with Priyanka and others from the film crew went on a sight seeing tour around the city.
Though Priyanka and Gerard maintain that they are just good friends we will have to wait and watch to see if there will be more news to come.

Why doesn’t this news upset me? Gerard’s hookups have broken my heart before - the rumors of him with Paris Hilton, Shanna Moakler and Aniston nearly killed me. Adds the source, “Gerard and his crew members also checked out the hotel from top to bottom – to see whether it’d be suitable for them to shoot there. After being sure about everything, he has finalised the venue for the shoot.”
After soaking in the beauty of the desert state, Gerard, who will stay in India for a few more days, will go to Agra, to see the Taj. Will this also be a ‘location hunting’ trip? Watch this space…

Early life
Born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand to Ashok Chopra and Madhu Akhauri, both doctors, Chopra spent her childhood in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, Newton, Massachusetts and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Because her father was in the army, her family moved frequently. Her mother comes from a Bihari Kayastha family settled in Jamshedpur, while her father comes from a family of Punjabi origin, settled in Bareilly. She also has a brother, Siddharth, who is eight years younger than her.
Chopra studied at St. Maria Goretti in Bareilly, as a young girl and later went to the United States, where she was a student at Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts and North Delta Secondary School in Delta, BC, before returning to India to complete high school at Army School (Bareilly). She began college at Jai Hind College in Mumbai but left after winning the Miss World pageant.
Miss World
Chopra was crowned Miss India World and later Miss World in 2000. In the same year, Lara Dutta and Dia Mirza, both also from India, won the Miss Universe and Miss Asia Pacific crowns, in a rare triple victory for one country.
When Chopra won the Miss World crown, she became the fifth Indian woman to win the title, and the fourth Indian woman to win in a span of seven years.
Acting career
After winning the Miss World title, Chopra became an actress. She made her debut in the 2002 Tamil film Thamizhan alongside Vijay, in which she also sung playback, before moving on to Bollywood. In 2003, her first Bollywood film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy released and won her good reviews. Despite being given a below average status, the film went on to become one of the highest grossing films of that year.
Her next film, Andaaz opposite Akshay Kumar was a success, earning her a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and a nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award.
In 2004, her film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi was released, and became the third highest grossing film of that year.
Her next release, Aitraaz, was a Hindi remake of the Demi Moore vehicle Disclosure. It was her first “negative” role, with her playing the villain. According to reports, a household help has been identified to be behind the robbery. Priyanka, who lives in an apartment on the same floor as that of her parents, was preparing to go for a shoot when the case of the missing money was noticed. A source suggests, "There was chaos at the Chopra home on Tuesday morning when Priyanka`s parents found some cash missing from their drawer. They had kept around Rs25-30,000 to make payments, which disappeared. On finding the wads of cash gone, all the help in the house were summoned and questioned. Since the family has a big staff of helpers, it was getting difficult to zero down on the suspect."It is believed that Priyanka’s parents had threatened to call for the cops but none of the servants admitted to the crime. Finally, her father Dr Ashok Chopra called for the police and the man who`d committed the robbery confessed his crime."Dr Chopra says, "It was just a small robbery and we have now kicked him out.
