Oh, poor Jennifer Aniston. It looks like her hopes of getting into Gerard Butler’s pants have been temporarily dashed. Butler traveled all the way to India for the mother of all booty calls… with Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra. There were rumors about Gerard and Priyanka a few months ago but since then the sort-of relationship seems to have been on the downlow. Gerard is so enamored of Priyanka, he not only traveled halfway around the world, he’s been seen out in public with her, and even stopped by the set of her latest Bollywood film. Gerard also gave a statement, saying how much he loved India. Swoon.
There have been rumors swirling about who the new man in Priyanka Chopra’s life is and one of the names that keeps coming up is Scottish hunkstar Gerard Butler. The two beautiful people met at the opening of the Atlantis hotel in Dubai and reportedly have stayed in touch since. In fact, the two have gotten to be such “good friends” that Gerard recently spent the day on the set of Priyanka’s new film What’s Your Rashee?.
Speaking to [Times of India], Butler said about visiting India, “Every time I come to India, I feel that I haven’t spent enough time here. I love this country. It attracts you towards itself and you can never say no. Last year, I had come to India, and thankfully, no one got to know about it. I’d like to keep it that way this time too. I am planning to stay here till Priyanka’s done with her shoot. Then I have a few places in mind, like Rishikesh, Manali and some parts of Rajasthan, that I’d like to visit.”
He also revealed that he actually auditioned for a part in Lagaan, “I had auditioned for Lagaan, but I didn’t get the role.” Adding jokingly, “I guess they wanted to say that I was too good looking for the role. That I guess can be the only reason.”
Also visiting the set in Jaipur with Butler was Richard LaGravenese director of PS, I Love You. Both men were introduced to Ashutosh Gorwariker and got the chance to talk about Bollywood films. LaGravenese said, “I am enjoying this whole Indian movie shooting. It is an honour, and the director seems like a nice man.”
According to a source after the shoot was complete the two along with Priyanka and others from the film crew went on a sight seeing tour around the city.
Though Priyanka and Gerard maintain that they are just good friends we will have to wait and watch to see if there will be more news to come.

Why doesn’t this news upset me? Gerard’s hookups have broken my heart before - the rumors of him with Paris Hilton, Shanna Moakler and Aniston nearly killed me. I think I’m unfazed because I’m half-Indian, and I really feel like Gerard Butler is working his way to me slowly but surely. Hey, at least I know he’s down with Indian girls. Hurray!
There’s this little factoid, too - Butler might have had other reasons for visiting India. The rumor going around the Indian press is that Gerard and Tom Cruise will be joining forces for a film set completely or partially in India, and that Gerard’s visit might be in his capacity as producer, for scouting locations within India:

However, friendship or sight-seeing were not the only reasons that brought Gerard to India. There was some serious work on his agenda too – that of scouting for locations for his next film, starring another Hollywood hottie – Tom Cruise.
Says a source on condition of anonymity, “Gerard was in Jaipur with some of his production team members on a location hunt for his upcoming project that features Tom Cruise. He really liked the picturesque locales of Jaipur and has said that he’ll soon come back to shoot here.” During his stay in Hotel Shiv Vilas, Gerard keenly observed the shooting of director Ashutosh Gowarikar’s What’s Your Rashee? that stars Priyanka and Hurman Baweja. Adds the source, “Gerard and his crew members also checked out the hotel from top to bottom – to see whether it’d be suitable for them to shoot there. After being sure about everything, he has finalised the venue for the shoot.”
After soaking in the beauty of the desert state, Gerard, who will stay in India for a few more days, will go to Agra, to see the Taj. Will this also be a ‘location hunting’ trip? Watch this space…
